The IRF Community circulated a letter asking the U.S. Government to use all available mechanisms to stop Turkey’s continued attacks on Northeast Syria and the multi-religious, multi-ethnic society they have created.

In addition to defeating the ISIS Caliphate that targeted religious minorities for genocide, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) empowered local citizens to build self-governance that is now the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria(AANES), with among the best religious freedom conditions in the Middle East. They have even adopted three official languages: Arabic, Kurdish, and Syriac. They ensure equal rights to all citizens regardless of faith, ethnicity, or gender, with half of all government leaders being women.
